District Manager

Heartland Jiffy Lube® is looking for energetic and motivated District Managers who can lead a team of Store Managers to success. No prior automotive experience is necessary. We offer you a paid training program to teach you everything you need to manage our Jiffy Lube locations. As a Heartland District Manager, you will be entrusted to determine the direction and success for sales results, operational controls, customer service standards, facility/maintenance upkeep, people management and training for several Jiffy Lube locations.  

The District Manager position reports to the Regional Manager and is required to proficiently learn our systems and procedures that center on top-notch customer service in a fast paced, sales driven environment. Our monthly incentive program is created to reward those operators who are excelling in cars, sales and customer service. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in quickly establishing a successful team of sales and customer driven employees to consistently improve top line sales. He/she will have past experience in a multi-unit service, retail environment, which will give he/she an understanding of our internal and external customer procedures, marketing programs and operating practices.  

Qualifications

  • Strong orientation toward sales building, increasing car count and driving all key measurable results.
  • Significant relevant experience in multi location fast-pace retail management.
  • History of successful people management through appropriate motivation, improving performance, tactfully addressing issues and quick judgment with independent decision making ability.
  • Position requires someone who can work independently while aggressively attacking performance issues. Excellent communication and analytical skills required.

Regional Manager

Heartland Automotive is looking for high caliber Regional Managers in Training who are interested in the huge growth opportunities that we have to offer. As a Regional Manager, we empower you to do whatever it takes, ethically and morally, with our customer’s in the forefront of our mind, to build your business and to raise the bar on performance in order to set the standards for the rest of the regional managers to follow. Our incentive program is created to monthly reward those operators who are excelling in cars, sales and customer service.

The Regional Manager position will report to the Sr. VP of Operations and will be required to proficiently learn our systems and procedures that center on top-notch customer service in a fast paced, sales driven environment. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in quickly establishing a successful team of sales and customer driven managers to consistently improve top line sales. They will have past experience in a service, retail environment, which will give them an understanding of our internal and external customer procedures, marketing programs and operating practices. In addition, they will be the passionate driving force behind execution of company programs, standards and key performance criteria. They must possess a hands on approach, with high level communication skills to deliver results, action steps and decisions to our field operators and corporate office management. Region Managers are expected to spend 70-80% of their time in the field.  

Responsibilities

  • Analyze daily key performance metrics, such as Sales, Labor, Car Count
  • Quickly develop and initiate action plans for improved performance in the areas of sales, labor and car count.
  • Follow up daily with DM’s to discuss metrics, get answers and implement actions for correction or recognition
  • Store Tours to identify problem areas (Sales, Customer service, Car Count, Car Times, Operations, Service Reviews, Sense of Urgency, Professionalism) in order to train and council the store manager, assistant managers and crew to improve performance.
  • Daily follow up on Customer Complaints to ensure that they are being handled appropriately and timely.
  • Analyzing all costs associated with running a region, through effectively dissecting Profit and Loss statements, asset recovery and maximizing financial profit to the company.
  • Coordination of new site location, build and set up as well as being the key point of contact for acquisition details.
  • Assess management performance and follow up on development plans for future promotion/demotion.
  • Recruit, interview and hire Store and District Managers.
  • Follow up on internal back office audit reports through investigative practices (conduct interviews, compile documentation & evidence, maintain accurate notes, develop initial & ongoing Reports of Investigations with the DM at the store level.
  • Involvement with District Manager with higher-level employee HR issues (Workman’s compensation, unemployment, customer injuries, payroll concerns, etc) and communication with appropriate HR personnel for resolution.
  • Coordinate and enforce disciplinary actions with field level management and employees
  • Local vendor negotiation and complaint resolution
  • Handles all issues with emergency, safety and local compliance and the corresponding follow necessary to eliminate concern.

Qualifications
